Filming dance performances/recitals can be exhilarating and challenging at the same time. With this guide, Mantha Media Productions will capture the beauty and energy of your dancers on film.
1. Meeting & Pre-Production:
Mantha Media Productions offers either USB’s or online digital downloads for the dance studios with a minimum order depending on how many shows. Mantha Media Productions can also offer an on site filming and editing price as well. A contract can be signed once all the details are laid out by the dance studio such as price and date/time of the recitals plus any other technical requirements while on site as to an audio feed etc.
2. Camera On Location:
Mantha Media Productions will arrive 1 hour prior to the location unless there is more set-up needed. I require an audio feed from the venue to provide the best audio of the dance recital. Mantha Media Productions will zoom in on the little kids and or smaller groups. Will keep wide for larger groups. I will also pan the camera when appropriate. Can also provide behind the scenes footage which I usually film during the dance rehearsal.
3. Post Production
Once the dance recital is completed Mantha Media Productions will then edit. I provide each routine as a separate video as well as the full recital(s) with full darkness cut out between routines. I can always adjust my editing techniques if need be. Mantha Media Productions will also add a lower third for each routine. After all the editing is finished, I will send a rough draft of the whole recital(s) to then confirm if there need to be changes for the final edit.
4. Sharing & Distribution:
The dance studio will let Mantha Media Productions know how many USB’s and online digital download orders there are. This should be told to me at least 2 to 3 weeks after the dance recital happened. For the USB’s I will come to the studio to drop them off unless it is at least 50km away then I will ship them to the studio to be given out. The USB’s will be put in a box with a sticker of their logo. For the online digital downloads when all videos have been uploaded to the portal I will provide a password for the studio to access. Mantha Media Productions will also provide an info sheet for the studio to send to all the parents for downloading.
